Dear Tzu Chings,
We hope that you’ve had a great spring quarter so far! Even though this is the last quarter of the school year, we have more exciting events planned for you:
Bone Marrow Drive
4/18 (Tue) @ Library Walk 1973, 10AM
4/19 (Wed) @ Library Walk 1972, 10AM
Tzu Ching will be working with BeTheMatch to encourage people to join the Bone Marrow Registry and help save a life. To register, just swab your cheeks and fill out a few forms. Even if you don’t wish to register, you can still come and help out.
4/22 (Sat) @ Peterson Loop for rides, 9 AM
Every month, Tzu Chings pay a visit to the Convalescent Home to brighten the day of the elderly by performing musical and dance numbers, playing interactive games (such as charades), and chatting with them.
4/23 (Sun) @ Balboa Park, 10AM
Tzu Ching will have booths at the Earth Day Fair at Balboa Park to promote environmental friendliness through crafts and demonstrations. Join us for the opportunity to learn new ways to be more environmentally friendly.
4/28 (Fri) @ Croutons for rides, 12:30PM
Every Friday, Tzu Chings mentor students from first to fifth grade at Herbert Ibarra Elementary School. Our goal is to teach them the meaning of love, respect, and gratitude and integrate it into their lifestyle no matter what their family background.
A Deeper Look Into Gratitude, Respect, and Love
4/28 (Fri) @ Warren Room, 5PM
Tzu Ching invites you to a 4 hour Gratitude, Respect, and Love workshop. We will go into more detail about the values behind Tzu Chi and Tzu Ching, and discuss the teachings of Tzu Chi and how they can help us become better leaders.
